today i almost got hit by a car. the elderly man driving just laughed. i was immediately grateful for my quick thinking to hop out of the way (even though he was in the wrong) because i was then able to go eat my burrito in peace. kind of strange, i thought, that the first thing i thought about was how bummed i would be if i did get hit and was then unable to eat it.

i’ve been sitting in the front area on the couches waiting to start work for the last hour. dad had enough of my company and dropped me off early. for the last five minutes i’ve had a fly in my hair. not on it. in it. the one day it’s high and tight and looking nice (in my non - humble opinion) and i get a fly in it tickling my scalp. it’s not funny anymore. i shan’t...

this is the same gentleman that said i "look like movie star" and said he liked my hair the day after i got it cut.
then, at about three this afternoon he told the lady across from him that he liked her box (was in context and was referring to an actual box). a few us laughed for a good ten minutes.
her response?
"i don't get it. what's that?" - then when she found out she laughed too, felt stupid then responded with "how was i to know. i am a foreigner here, you know?!"
